Clevis and beads are unnecessary, even a disadvantage, to fishing bling under a float.
Colorado's are effective because they flutter as much as rotate, thus making clevis and beads superfluous. A clevis allows French blades to rotate around an axis and works best when pulled through water. This works work well in cast a retrieve situations, but not under a float. The Colorado spinner works very well under a float because it doesn't need much tension or current to flutter seductively. Although the swivels do allow the Colorado to rotate as well, the important thing is that it is not needed for them to be effective. The barrel swivels on a Colorado are mainly to reduce line twist, as much as allow blade rotation. Nothing says you can't add beads between Colorado and hook for attraction, but seems like more hassle than it's worth.
I think BR is actually using and offering colored Colorado blades rather than adding beads to them for color.

After watching the video again. You're right, a colored blade, "brass, a little bit of orange, chartreuse tip".

I've never fished Colorado spinner blades or spoons below a float, but plan to in the future though. So the Colorado is rigged to flutter more like a spoon, with only occasional rotation. Hence, why the Little Shaver spoon is popular also, Interesting.

Thanks for the explanation.
