With a favorable weather report I decide to hit a local C & R lake for some chironomid fishing.
Hit the water around 10:00 with partly sunny skies and light breeze.
Set up in 16' of water and proceeded to set a personal record, going 0 for 10. grin

It was just one of those days. I successfully managed to lose every fish I hooked with a number of techniques...broken leaders not at the knot, fish jumping and hitting the side of the boat, two kamikaze dives into the anchor rope.
I did get to see what they were eating. They eat San Juan worms, red and silver chromies and a burgundy angora leech.
Very few bugs coming off with the cold air and water temps.
Biggest fish was around 18".

Oh ya, don't believe the weatherman when he states a 30% chance of rain before 10:00. About an hour after I started fishing it rain steadily for a good three hours and the temp felt like it dropped 10 degrees.
Piss bucket became a bail bucket.

Not wanting to break my winning streak, I called it a day at 3:30 as
another rain squall was about to moved through.
