I had a doctor's appointment and while I was waiting an old man and woman walked in. The old woman started filling out the form at the desk and I could see that she had a nasty looking cut across the end of her middle finger on one hand. It had stitches and was on the mend, but it was really nasty looking.

I backed up to where the old man was standing and asked him, "Did that happen while she was fixing your dinner?" He said, "Yeah, it did."

I said, "Looks like it damn near ended up in your stew."
The old woman stops what she was doing and turns around and says, "No, but it did damn near end up in his clam chowder."



True Story.

After chatting for a while with them I found out they are both 85 and have been married 65 years.
