Most civilians can not own "Military Assault Weapons". Most AR's look like their military counter part but do not allow "Fully Auto or burst" so in fact they are not a "Military Assault Weapon". Most the ones people buy are only semi-auto. So you want people to get training for a weapon based on what it looks like?

If someone knows what they are doing or has the money, they can have there 22 made to look like a military weapon but it is still a 22. The looks of the weapon have nothing to do with how deadly it is or can be.
