Fish Ranger has a side charger. I haven't built one yet, but the only excess weight would be the handle itself, which would be offset somewhat by the lack of a case deflector, the cutout behind the ejection port, the lack of a ejection port cover and other accoutrements.



Some side chargers have charging handles, others don't.

Those charging handles replace one that I robbed from another build for my M4gery. Next build on tap would be a 5.45x39, if I can find a barrel and bolt.
