Alright, I sharpen all my hooks BEFORE I tie them.. Reduces chances of running your line along the file, and creating a weak spot accidentally. I can get a lazer sharp SHARPER than a gamakatsu in a matter of about 10 seconds.. It's all in the technique... Once you learn it, its easy and fast, about 5-6 swipes in a certain order.. Gamakatsu's are too brittle in my opinion, cause I've broken several of them.. I've tweaked maybe a dozen of Lazer's, but have not once broken one...
