Youre new to the area and knock down two fish right off the bat? i should be asking you where to fish.

I'd keep going back to the pipeline. that is arguably the best hole on the river. a steady producer. i was there 1/5 in the PM and saw one taken near the tail. in fact you and the guy who caught the one have something in common. he hadn't been to the river in eight months and got his on the third cast. didn't hear or see any others.

tried the oxbow park area 1/7. saw one native landed at the boat ramp. very little pressure. lack of fish would account for that. either the hatch' run is way late or it's over before it began.

a good source of info for area rivers are the Salmon Trout Steelhead mag's river maps. they have them both for the sandy and clackamas. they are dated (1985+-) but they would be a good start.

see ya' on the river. (i'll be the guy behind the bush watching how you catch your sandy fish)
