I rig pink worms with a 2/0 or 3/0 gammy. I usually use the six-inch Power Float Worm, but have also had success with those made by Zoom. I trim about an inch off the front of the worm and add a drift bobber. I used to thread them so the hook hangs at the rear of the worm, but it kinks too easily. Now I just thread the worm as far up the hook shanks as it will go, so the point sticks out in the middle of the worm. Yes, I've missed a few short-strikers. But, it sure beats making that perfect cast into a log jam, where you're sure Ike or Tina lays, only to reel up the worm and find out it's tied in a knot.
