Just heard on the radio this morning about another FL case last year, brought by the same prosecutor Angela Corey, of aggravated assault against a woman who fired her pistol in a warning shot at her estranged husband, who she had a no-contact order against, which he violated and then threatened to kill her. She feared for her life, fired one shot and was prepared to shoot him, but he turned and ran. Jury deliberated 12 minutes before finding her guilty, and because she committed A. assault with a firearm, she got 20 years w/o parole. Talk about life not being fair . . .
