What is important is the American legal tradition which holds that all are innocent until proven guilty. Then journalists, liberals, along with the so-called civil rights leaders try to whip up a lynch mob and/or kangaroo court trial. Make no mistake, since I'm not racist, if the actual evidence and forensics shows that a racist Zimmerman really did instigate the fight and gun down an innocent kid, I don't ever want to see that man spend one more day of his life outside of a jail cell. If, however, the evidence does not show him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, he must go free with no further repercussions. Anything else would be an injustice.

What I don't like is that this was a political trial, not a trial based on law and justice. You should only be brought to trial, if there is enough evidence that you broke the law. Bill Lee, the SPD chief who stepped down during this said there was "pressure from city officials to arrest Zimmerman to placate the public rather than as a matter of justice." Why the black community, the media and white liberals think it's OK to try and pervert justice with this lynch mob mentality is beyond me. Man is not a sacrificial animal to be used to placate the public. Regardless of your beliefs about Zimmerman's racism or your opinions on him, we should only use provable evidence in a court of law and not use the media to try him in the court of public opinion.

I'm going to have to score this in FP's favor, Todd. Sure Zimmerman is a f'n tool, but the case was weak, and likely wouldn't have ever seen a courtroom were it not for the frenzy stirred up by the story.

We're not going to carry on with this for multiple pages are we?
