A question for you veteran tidewater fishermen. Are there any tips on either gear or flies that may work for these semi-salt ghosts. Maybe these fish are just spooky and tough to hook up with. I was wondering if they were in some type of transition, as they became acclimated to the fresh water. I don't know.

It took me almost an hour to get one these beauties to peel off from the pod and take a fly. I threw spinners, corkies, yarn, spoons, soft plastic, you name it, and after a couple of hours of trying, I left them alone. Any hints would be appreciated. Looking at those sea lice infested, cotton mouthed missiles, and not hooking them, sent me over the edge. What a sight to see. Thanks
