Now for the boring fly fishing report:

My family wanted to see a little dryer weather for the weekend, and didn't want to travel far. So we went over and camped over at Vantage, Wanapum State Park. The crazy salmon fishers were packing the Columbian near the dam. My son and I went over and fished a desert lake for trout.

This was the first time for him in a kick boat. Other than crashing into the cat tails cuz he said he couldn't turn, and the seat that went flat, every thing went OK. Oh, and no fish, well, just one right off the bat, but, went dead after that. Weather was lousy, rainy and cold. But, we had a good time.
