Hey umrules, Yahoo here. The way to go if you have the freezer space is to go up to Jerrys Bait. Its between Port Ludlow and Port Townsend (call for directions). I go up their about twice a year and buy my herring by the case. I pay 85.00 for a case (50dozen) and they are always fresh frozen. The herring are vacuum packed and I have never had a problem with them getting rotten except when the power went out for 6 days and i lost everything in my freezer!!!(yuk). Noe has you can tell by the price you can save a ton of money!!!!
