Both make great rods, with the all around edge to Loomis. With this said, I actually prefer the selection of lighter steelhead rods that Lami has. They seem to have a larger selection of lighter, longer rods, while Loomis has better feeling medium action rods. I love the Lami 10' Herzog signature (6-10lb test) as a summer-run and float rod. Its made of Lamis Certified Pro graphite which is lower modulus than Loomis GL3 or IMX, but its light and strong. Its also got more backbone than the Loomis 1141, but will still handle a 6 lb leader during the summer.
