Been using Gamy 4/0 circles for plunking with egg clusters for two seasons now. Missed a few strikes with a 2/0 early on. But when I stepped up two hook sizes, I have gotten solid hookups in the corner of the jaw the majority of the time, as advertised. Did hook one teenaged native buck in the gills though. The hook encircled two of his gill arches, but did not actually penetrate any fleshy body parts. Had to do riverside extractive surgery by pulling out the hook through the gills slits. Blood was everywhere, but released him nonetheless. It swam off strongly but more than likely became a "statistic"...
