This topic was discussed a while back. My contention is that during any C-N-R season you should use line that will enable you to land the fish quickly without totally exhausting it. This will increase the survival rate for these fish. I use fifteen to twenty pound test on the Olympic Penn. this time of year. These fish are not line shy, especially if you are using spoons.
