Chris... The reason why it is closed (and I do not believe they plant a whole lot of steelies in it) is to protect the humpy run, as well as the VERY FEW chinook that return to it... This next year should be the first return of the native broodstock chinook that were planted 3 years ago... The only reason why they open it october 15th, is because of the silvers.
