I fish the Vedder every year during the fall
for "white" chinook and coho. I have not made the trip for winter steelhead, however, I have been monitoring the reports every week. It appears the season has been somewhat disappointing this year especially considering how good it was last year(best in 20 years or so). We're just now coming into the best part of the year for natives, and the pressure is considerable lighter on the river. Go to Fred's customer tackle web page and they have a river report each week or call them for a up to date report on conditions. Good luck!
