Has anyone had any trouble getting Lamiglas to honor their warranty on 1000 series rods? A friend of mine broke the rod inside the cork handle of his 1306-T. He was pulling plugs and broke it when a fish hit and he tried to take it out of the rod holder. The cork is not damaged (just a hairline crack where the break occured) so it is obvious it was not shut in a car door or something. He sent the rod to Lamiglas hoping that they would replace or repair the broken section. They sent him a letter stating it would be fixed at a cost of $57.00 plus $10.00 shipping. He sent a letter back to Lamiglas stating that he owns several Lamiglas rods and he has never sent any of them in for repair or replacement, and that he felt the charges were unjustified. They recently returned the rod to him with the break apparently repaired, and a bill for the $67.00. What to do????
