Very interesting results!

Being a science teacher, I am always striving for an argument to be merited by facts. If I recall correctly, BC did a similar study with similar results.

This is definitely a hot topic and the study well-founded. Kudos to ODFW. I hope they will share their findings with other states/regions that support anadromous fish runs.

I find the news encouraging for myself as I prefer to drift fish bait(not bait divers). Now I can do it with a clearer conscience. Besides, My own fishing confirms the "corner of the mouth" theory with drifted bait....Probably 90-95% of my fish, winter and summer, are hooked somewhere on the edge of the mouth. This is due in part also to my technique for setting the hook.
