Another downside to a CPA: when their $hit gets hacked, you get screwed.

We got called this morning. Apparently there was a 'data security breach' and client info may have been compromised. Well, the IRS contacted my CPA today to inform them that my wife and I, or should I say our social security numbers, have already filed a return this year.
Uh.... WTF!

Spent the afternoon closing bank accounts/cards, filing reports with the FTC, listing fraud alerts with the credit bureaus...
