Forget the cowlitz, if you've got a boat be at the meathole on the N.F. Lewis. I was up there the last couple of mornings and seen at least 15-20 caught each morning. We limited both days, sucks though the limit is only one per person. DAMN GAME DEPARTMENT! You must hurry though the river closes to boats from Johnson creek to Colvin creek May 1st. Use eggs and shrimp its tops, #2 would be sardine wrapped kwikfish, then cut-plug herring. The morning bite is lasting until about 10:00 and the afternoon bite has been from 3-6:00 with about 6-14 fish per day in the evening. The morning has had only 10-15 boats and eve 6-10 not your WIND RIVER combat fishing!!
