If you're just sitting and waiting with the plugs out it's going to take more hours to put fish into the cooler. Try backing the kwickfish down the hole slowly. Or if you are more comfortable anchored up, ditch the slider and try back-bouncing them into the fish's face. Another trick would be to freespool a kwickfish or magwart down into the tailout and slowly reel through the hole. These are more aggressive tactics and should cut down time between bites.

But, if you want to keep you tackle and tactics as is, I would definitely try the rattling models. Basically, all you are doing is plunking, so the fish will be able to find the rattling kwickies better. Also, heavily scent the plugs on top of the bait wraps to form a good stink trail.
