Loaded up a few pics of magnified views of some steelhead scales. There is a little info on the pics about aging the scales but not much.You can get a general idea. The hatchery fish have 1 year of freshwater growth and the wild fish usually have 2 years. The fish put on bands of "rings", the winter bands are closer together due to slower growth. Also a couple of coded wire tag (the tags that are injected into the fish head) pics. I hope to get a pic of a repeat spawner up soon.
