Thanks SundayMonday, but I should of been more specific. My main question is, should I invest in a low caliber practice rifle or just get a hunting rifle? If the former, is .22LR a bad choice with the current ammo market? I was also thinking .243 since it could be used for deer. In the end I'm splitting hairs (and will likely end up with a couple rifles over time), but after talking with a few friends and folks at shops, I realized I could use all the help I can get.
