As KK tried to explain, it's the shooting that causes the physical harm, not the denigration. In this country it's legal to desecrate the American flag. It's sure as heck legal to blaspheme Muhammad. And screw 'em if they can't take a joke.

I'm kinda' stuck on 1st Amendment issues, here and everywhere (since the 1st A doesn't legally apply in other nations). So this stuff bugs me. Back when Iranian Ayatollah issued his Fatwa on Salmon Rushdie for his book that apparently blasphemed Muhammad, I thought the UK and US should have issued a Fatwa and $2 million bounty on the Ayatollah, just to show that we had both a sense of humor and a sense of justice.
