Most likely not. His crime was trying to defend his home. The "authorities" as my MIL calls them do not like you to protect yourself. They want you to abdicate that God given right to the state. Not sure what they are "authorities" of other than being small dick asshats on a power trip. Since in is in SC I will give it a 3 star rating that he was shot because he was not a vanilla face and 7 stars that he was shot because he dared to defend himself.
