Kalamabama looks like your in the same predicament I am. I am learning the Washougal. I live in B-Ground and normally fish the East Fork and Kalama. I have had decent success on the Wash. The water is really clear and low. Lots of white bubbly water however up in the canyon. The last time I was there I saw lots of Re-Cycles lying in the canyon , but they just werent biting. It looks like things have changed however according to Steelymaster's post.
I am hoping to make it up there on Sunday.
Seems like the trick is to getting there early. I hoped to have more luck my first few trips, but wrote them of as " scouting a new river day."
I have been told that crawdad tails as well as sand shrimp work good.
Get on (Washougal) River road and look for pulloffs, and be sneaky, The fish are watching!
