Add all those post-metal butt rock bands to the list...pretty much all of 'em.

This "new" band opened for Judas Priest in...'82? '83?...can't remember which one...anyways, it was Great White, and they got booed off the stage, halfway thru the first song someone hit the singer in the head with a shoe thrown from the crowd and they stormed off.

Wahh.

Kingdom Come opened for AC/DC in Vancouver, BC, in something like 1990 or 91...they only made it one song before being booed off the stage as well.

Besides loving the bands I went to see, my second favorite thing about heavy metal concerts when I was a kid was that if the opening act sucked, they never made it thru their set wink

On the other side of that coin...Twisted Sister opened for Iron Maiden, again in 82 or 83, and they kept getting encores until they ran out of songs to play and Iron Maiden came on over an hour late...and the first thing Bruce Dickenson said when they finally got on stage was how awesome he thought Twisted Sister was, and encouraged another ovation for them.

Fish on...
