just to weigh in on the great boat debate...I have a tarheel special, built by some boys in sedro. Not a lot of rocker, but no matter how many linemen are in the boat the ass doesn't droop. The limited rocker makes it track straight as heck, and also keeps the boat floating high (great for skinny water). The boat also is hell built for stout (to borrow Willie's phrase) and may be a bit heavy, but what the hell, I have no problem rowing it. The boat is a little narrow for my composite oars so they are counterbalanced with weider weights (purple w/ velcro straps). I and my fishing partner have had no problems maneuvering the boat (spinning it). Of course I've been rowing boats since 5 yrs old and my partner rowed crew at the UW.

IMHO, if the boat floats, y'all catch fish, and ya don't die, it's a damn good boat...
