BU is right, crossing is not the same as modifying...

crossing has as he said been going on for ever.... different strains of Tomato's, Apples, Oranges, Strawberries, Rasberries, ect....

hell they even cross Cannabis all the time, thats not modifying anything.... its like taking a German Shepard, and crossing it with a Beagle, you arent modifying any of the DNA...

now when you take a plant species, and constantly tweak and reverse and tweak and reverse the DNA so that the plant can be drenched in Glyphosphate and not die, that is genetically modifying the DNA structure in the species/plant, theres no crossing, graphting, just modifying the structure of its blueprint....

Roundup is going to be something like that of the Meso/Asbestos thing that happened, a sh!t ton of applicators are about and around, and noone takes anything seriously, until 60 years later then will figure out something wasnt right....

i get into arguements with "organic" gardeners around here all the time, when they say they use "organic" fertilizers, which are salt based, or "organic" pesticides for their fruits and vegetables and whatnot.... just because its "organic", doesnt mean its not TOXIC....

Monsanto is a joke, they are trying to monopolize on the fact that farmers dont have the money to pay workers, so they need planes full of Roundup to entirely drench football fields of plants with it to keep the weeds out, since they cant afford to have someone pull them.... think about all that [Bleeeeep!], and whatever may or may not bind to it and then leach into our rivers and streams, then what....

i do use ROundup, but not near my food, and usually at under the recommended application rates, if you do it in the right time of day/year, it works just fine at lower mixing ratios....
