I just don't get it. I pay for my licenses, fish legally, and practice C&R. Yet we all still take a screwing when it comes to doing a good thing. J.C.B. I agree with you, everytime that we rat somebody out for snagging or taking an illegal fish, we are closer and closer to having them shut down that fisheries. People speed every day on I-5 does this mean everytime someone gets caught and ticketed that they are getting closer and closer to shutting down I-5? Not at all. It's just more money for the state. I have seen more snagging this year than ever and it is still really early! As soon as the silvers start stacking up in the smaller local rivers there will be snaggers there like flies on crap! This has to stop, everytime I go fishing and see people snagging a fisheries that I fish, I will stop and say something to them. Alot of them tell me that they can't hook them legally, and with summer runs or lock jawed chinook times can be harder, but I usually tell them what I use to hook them and some of them will actually fish legally next time I see them, others will never be turned. Also anyone who is interested I was fishing a small local river this weekend, anyone who lives nearby knows which river I was fishing, I was fishing for summer runs and early kings and ended up catching a small fish, this fish fought like hell and was ugly as hell, I have seen chum in the rivers in August and had a friend tell me that he had seen one this August but this was no chum, I landed a 3-4 pound humpy!!! I caught one 3 summers ago same time period, whats the deal? Weird!
