I'm used to getting skunked on the rivers, but yesterday was the first time I've been completely shut out clamming. Is that a normal thing? Was I just on the wrong beach? Is it worth trying something different today?

My 2nd time out ever & same results for me in the same general area. The wind seemed to make it darn near impossible to find any sign of clams. Tried smacking the ground too with no luck. At least the dog had a good time on the beach.
