Drove the whole Snohomish system today, Sno, Sultan, Sky, Snoqualmie, Wallace, Reiter. All are blown badly. What brought great joy to me at the end of the day was to visit the newly rebuilt Issaquah hatchery. This facility is really cool. From the 7 foot long bronze buck and hen Chinook castings in the parking lot, to the new viewing ladder. This is a first class facility. After one rain this hatchery is jammed with fish. If you know people whom you want to introduce to the beauty of river fishing, or just want them to appreciate the miracle or returning salmon, take them to Issaquah tomorrow to take a look, there are 30# fish in abundance. Chinook, Coho, Chum, and Jacks. All are pretty well colored due to the long dry spell, but what a cool site!
