Michael ... As much as I truly enjoy the expertly distilled fruits and grains from Kentucky, there is just something about a fresh caught Winter Steelhead. This great gift was sport caught in the upper reaches of a Grays Harbor tributary. 'Twas a 12 maybe 13 lb. hen. An absolute beauty. Scales everywhere on the cutting board.

Funny thing is, it was a hatchery fish and it just tasted so damn good. I could not tell the difference if it was actually reared in a real hatchery or not. Perhaps it could be just some old timer who owns a few thousand feet of stream side habitat that has several RSI's working here and there. I have met a few of them in my travels with Harry and the stories of their successes would put WDFW to shame.

So here's to you Brett, thanks, your fish was great and was it was real nice to meet the entire clan from cross the valley.

Cheers Brother
