I can't remember who posted earlier about returning the reel to Shimano and they usually send you a new one but it is true.
I had to talk to couple of the customer service rep befor I got the right help I needed. (He's name is Chris Nietzel) I had a problem with a line guide in my reel, the metal piece had come out and i did not feel like taking it apart so I called and talked to Shimano and they said send it back for repairs, but when I called and asked how long after I had sent my reel in they said they sent out a new one Friday.(cool) Also Any one who uses the Calcutta 400 series reel can get an updated Dartanium drag for free either at a authorized Shimano dealer or send it to shimano at 1 Holland drive Irvine California.
