I read up on the US code regarding the flag. And no where does it state one needs to stand, sit, kneel or do backflips as a show of respect. It does state though that no part of the flag is to be used on an athletic uniform. So those stupid white helmets the Huskies occasionally wear is definitely disrespectful to the flag. It also states that it should never be displayed flat or horizontal so every singing of the national anthem in Husky stadium, and many other stadiums, is also disrespectful to the flag.

Of course facts no longer matter just as long as we'all have something or some "others" to be outraged at! That's really all that maters in today's America.


Maybe you should learn to read. You know since Section 170 states what you should do during the National Anthem. Also "displaying flat or horizontal" is no where in the code (I mean common sense would tell you that if so, it would make it impossible to place it on a casket). However section 176 does state it should never be carried flat or horizontal. I am sure you know the difference in display vice carried.
