I tie most my eggs to keep the hen killing at a minimum.

I've seen a few "machines" to help the tying process but have never bought a one because they all looked like junk to me. Perhaps a good one exists that I don't know about.

When the rivers are blown out I just spend an afternoon tying with good old thread and a needle. Tried "majic thread" before, wasn't impressed.

The best advice I can give is to lay out about 20 mesh squares and spoon the eggs into each one, then tie away.

Then wash your sticky fingers, reload and tie another 20. It takes me around an hour to tie a full days fishing worth of bait.
