Op Fisher and i used to have a concoction we learned from a guy that cleaned o ur clocks on the Vedder River one day. Hed prolly kill me for revealing the prawn secret but i will give the dye color. It was bad azz magenta bait dye with rock salt and a special flavor added. We would cut it in little size morsels and called it "shromp". It was a go to for years. Lately ive gotten lazy and just add salt to small raw chunks of 51/60 size tiger prawns. This has never let me down but i of course will always take sand shrimp over every other steelhead if available.
