If any thing or anyone deserves the credit, it's the Democratic and Republican parties as well as the American voter.

Neither one could field a candidate that was worth a crap and the two left standing were both horrible choices for office.

Exactly. A year and half later and the Democrats still have their collective heads up their assess. I don't see that party getting their crap together by next election time.
