The late 70's and early 80's were good to me, life was easy, I was enjoying myself and I really liked the change in the music that seemingly came in with MTV. I was especially fond of the 'New Wave' genre, much of it was British but not all of it. Their was, Wall of Voodoo-Mexican Radio, Devo-Satisfaction, The Clash-Should I Stay or Should I Go?, The Nails-88 lines about 44 Women, Duran Duran, Talking Heads, Flock of Seagulls, etc. I found the change in the music to be refreshing at the time and I still listen to 'New Wave' on occasion and I enjoy it when I do. The mid 80's brought me challenges but fortunately, for me, my challenges have always come with opportunity.


Strange I've had Sirius tuned into New Wave the past few days in the car. Tuned into MTV freshman year in college 1981. Punk was in the late 70s and early 80s. Expanded from rock to R&B, disco, and new wave.
