NFL is like watching Sanford and Son

I am sure it would be no problem to recruit 5 more thugs per team. The NFL is a joke. The only reason I'm going to a superbowl party thingy today is the free chicken wings.

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

If the NFL could straighten out the officiating, it could be loads better. I actually watched lots of great football games this year, but the majority of them were impacted by sh!tty officiating in one way or another.

I still like NFL and NCAA football more than anything else. I'll definitely watch the Rams beat the Pats this afternoon.

CTE has changed the game entirely. They might as well put flags on em' now.

Anybody know the levels of CTE is Rugby and Aussie Rules? Maybe there is just too much "protective" gear used as weapons.

I don't know the official figures, but I do know it's less. While kinda similar sports in nature, the tackling, speed and style of play is very different. It's not just the helmets, its whole American football uniform. Pads allow for playing with pure abandon - like they did before the modern helmet and facemask came along. It's like boxing. Bare knuckle or gloved. Prize fighters won't and don't throw full force bare knuckle punches (if they value the bones in their hands) whereas Mike Tyson with gloves on literally stole many dude's souls.

In 1905, 19 football NFL players died on the field.

I think the main reason is rugby isn't as fast because they play on grass. I said years ago the only way to slow down the injuries in the NFL is if all games were played on natural grass. Nick made some good points.
