Caught two yesterday on the Bogie, high and muddy, fishing within three feet of the bank near the Ponds.
Visited Bob afterwards. Thanks to Bob and Corey for being so hospitable to me and my fishing buddy. On the way home he commented on how cool the two of you were, noting that there are a lot more people who are guides who catch plenty of fish than there are guides who are good people persons. He thought you were, and would therefore recommend you to anyone he knows looking for an OlyPen guide.
Thanks again.
Todd.

LOL..Havent been out winter steelheading yet...still taking advantage of the excellent late silver run..every chance I get. Sure helps to stock that freezer with eggs! Got a 17 pound hen this week. That was the biggest. Hoping to get out soon as soon as the silver run diminishes.

My wife hooked and landed her first steelhead and coho on Friday! We fished the Salmon River with Quinault guide Robin Rhoades. On steelies, she went 3 for 5 and I went 6 for 7. Fished the Snoqualamie with Saukit2em Sunday and I picked up a nice small chrome brat. Saw one other fished hooked today. Really slow. We need some rain, badly. Saukit2em hit 6 or 7 fish this Between Friday and Sunday, with 3 being nice chrome brats. Look for a barrage of "Pictures of the Week" on Monday. http://staff.washington.edu/parker/pictureoftheweek.html Parker [This message has been edited by parker (edited 12-03-2000).]

Took my 9 y/o to the carbon Saturday for some Chum bustin, talk about fun. It is so cool to see a kid get his first big fish. Then he managed to hook several more, landing 4....a future fanatic I am sure.

Hey Randy, that's exactly what had happened to me. When I was 4 I was putting plug rods out in the driftboat and if I took to long I would get the back of my head slapped by my dad. I always got slapped when I didn't reel them in fast enough. But for the opportunity to reel in all of those steelhead it was what has made me such a freak about fishing. keith

Pulled a hat trick in the drift boat this weekend finding winter fish Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Got two first time father and son steelheaders borke in on steelies Saturday on the ***. One of which was a chrome 12 lb. hen. Way to go Will and Hank!! Still pretty slow overall. I need some time off of the oars so I can do some brat damage and fish for myself. Got to fish myself Friday and hit three in two hours driftfishing. Then I had to load up the boat and race off to work. I'm not going to say that it's shaping up to be a good year because we don't want to jinx it now, do we?
