Gotta agree with everyone else! Cataracts are the way to go. Recently purchased my second set from Sportco in Fife. Had no intention of having 2 sets but was down there one day and fell in love with the blue shafts.........now I have a set of 9.5 footers and a set of 9's.

Wow! I never realized there were some many Cataract fans. I used them for years from a Koffler and thought they were a great oar. I am now fishing Sawyer MX-G's from my Willie and like them too. I like the float-ability of the Cat's, but I think I like the row-ability of the Sawyer's even more. |

I have an old and completely abused pair of Cataracts that I just finished replacing the rotten wood handles on. Believe me when I say these things are strong! I thought I was going to have to cut the end off to get the old rotten handles out of them. I pried, bent, drilled and basically beat the crap out of these oars. I would have never believed this material would flex and rebound like it did. I would never, ever, buy any other oar. |
