Anybody here like pancakes?
I've been on a pancake kick lately..have 'em for breakfast every day. Plain pancakes. Blueberry pancakes. Banana-blueberry pancakes. Side of bacon, sausage or ham and a big ol' glass of ice-cold whole milk. Delicious.
I was at Costco and saw some pancake mix I thought I'd try. Klondike Cakes it's called. Whole grain and all you need is water to make the batter. However, if you use milk instead and add an egg, you get 21 grams of protein in 3 pancakes.
I was using Bisquick, but Klondike Cakes are, IMO, a lot better.
Check it out.
Klondike Cakes makes awesome mixes. See my post on the recipe board / English muff thread. However, due to the high whole grain and protein content, they will hockey puck on ya' if ya' eat too much at once.

Kings Hawaiian sweet bread, cinnamon sugar egg wash, half shredded and half macerated coconut. Dip both sides of the sliced bread in egg wash allowing it to soak in for a moment, drop into a pan of coconut mix making sure to lightly pat both sides so the coconut sticks properly. Immediately cook on a flat top or skillet w/ clarified butter. Brown nicely on each side and enjoy.
That's hot! I would make sweet, sweet love to that kinda French Toast.
