Big Stick was incredible. Honestly the rest of these guys are mild by comparison. Big Stick appeared to have the IQ of a genius and live deep in AK country killing stuff. Thats a rare combination. He is the reason I joined this board. He made EVERYBODY look dumb. And he seemed like a good dad and most of the rest of these turds appear childless due to no pussy ever.

if some vaginal effluent of a human, who refers to himself as a big stick, sitting among a pile of cans of Hamm's and PBR, and maybe a natty lite, screaming at people about how amazing he is, is your idea of a legend. Hey you moist yourself all up.

I'll take someone like Salmo, or Eyefish if I'm looking for someone I could learn from. The only thing you'll learn from BS is what isolation feels like.

Big Stick is obviously loved by all here. One of the most unique and fascinating people I never met. I think Offdahook ruffled more feathers than anyone I've seen. Always got excited for his threads.

Big Stick was a good wealth of knowledge and had pictures to back it...

Enjoyed the reloading and long range convo's with him...

Definitely. Anytime I he got typing I stopped and tried to learn, just such a trip. Super big shame about his son. I remember hearing about that. Alaska is tough on kids from what I hear.

I liked seeing him post pictures of him fishing with his kids. That's always a winner in my book. And Vhawk this board may be a shadow of it's former self,but I assure you,it wasn't due to your absence .

Big Stick is a legend because he was one of the most entertaining and interesting posters of all time. I recall Sol thought Stick must be a meth head cuz he once put up a new post every 8 seconds one night, including photos.

I did love going toe-to-toe photo posting with BigStick. He's always would "win" with the custom million dollar knife stuck through a dead wild steelhead photo! Larry is a super cool dude once you get to know him.

BS did teach me everything I need to know about barrel and scope break in on a new Kimber and Leupold.





I still have and use the M1 turret and JBM ballistics taped the side of my hunting rifles.....

I actually made him puke climbing a hill on the North end of Prince of Wales for an overnight deer hunt, gotta say that guy is a gamer, tough dude in tough country, started with a bit too heavy of a pack in an old overgrown with devils club and worse clearcut, walking logs over the brush, didn't touch the ground for a half mile is seemed, then moved into the blowdown laced big timber to climb the last thousand feet or so to the alpine....passed a decent 3 point buck, as it was Booner only zone.

Personality plus, we had an "interaction" with three AK State Troopers running a bear decoy along side the road, there was no doubt in anyone's mind who was in charge by the time it was over. He had those pups saying "Momma told me there'd be days like this" by the time it was over.

Parting line "you may catch an indian with that thing, but you won't get any white guys".

Don't be fooled into thinking he's a blowhard....if he says it, it's true, if he says he did it...he did.

....just don't mix with alcohol. I think he may have a mean streak.
