Hard to find and in high demand Bill McMillans book

I didn't know it was out of print. Perhaps Amato will reissue a second edition? The book consists of a lot of articles Bill wrote for STS back in the 70s. If your library has STS, you could make photocopys if it's the information you want. If you want the book because you want the book, . . . well, that's different.

The #1 place on the web to buy books is www.abebooks.com. I just checked, and they have one copy in VF/F condition hardback with one of Bill's Washougal Olives inside. They want $375, as this is a serious collectors item.

Abebooks.com is a site where small retailers can advertise books for sale. I have found many books there, both new and used, and frankly, they are all fishing books as that's what I collect, too.

I was expecting to see 20 hits for that book. It must be a seriously tough book to get for only one hit.

It must be a serious collector's item for $375!! I've got a copy that is like new, I think. No disrespect to Bill, but I'd let it go for a lot less than that - and throw in a couple of his flies that must be laying around here somewhere.

The book contains some good information, but it can be had for a lot less money than that. Guess I'm not into collecting; I'm more into substance.

Salmo, not sure if you are thinking same copy. The one that draws so much $$$ is a hardbound leather edition with a fly that Bill tied himself enlayed into the cover (or inside cover) and I do believed autographed by himself. I have a paperback copy. A bit cheaper. LOL. I know I was searching for a copy, and that collectors edition kept sprining up. LOL. Didn't want it that bad. But hey, you have some of Bill's flies, I'll take them off your hands. LOL.

Aha, my copy is a run of the mill paper bound edition. I didn't know there was a hard bound, leather, no less. I'll keep the flies. I have a few as souveniers from a number of NW tiers that I hope to frame some day.
