Good experiment.

Silver has unique "clean" properties, primarily its powerful antimicrobial/antibacterial action, killing germs by damaging cell walls, which makes it great for medical dressings, water purification, and hygiene products, plus it's a great conductor and reflector, though it tarnishes due to oxidation, which is easily cleaned away chemically or electrochemically. Never thought of it for cooking but not a bad idea.

If you wanted a crispier crust, maybe place it face down on the rack and use the broil feature on your oven. It should crisp up quicker on the crust without entirely melting the cheese. I’d forgo using the silver and just keep it secured or maybe some rounds handy inside a tube sock or two for self-defense purposes.

I think it was a good idea to try it,, you would think it would have worked due to the conductivity... It may be that a thousand ounce Bar could have better results...

Those hundred ounce bars are selling for like $7000. probably be worth $10,000. in January... Physical Silver Squeeze begins January 1,, its kinda already started though,, just not in full swing yet...

I don't have any 100 ounce bars but I bet its cool to hold in your hand...

60% of the COMEX inventory vanished last week or this week without explanation... Strategic move? Seems as if they are getting near official delivery failure which would be a bad day for the futures market and a good day for Silver...

if you tried to carry one around in your pocket it would be hard to keep your pants from falling down..

Carcassman,, hope you still have them...

The majority I have is pre 1964 coins.. I like the old coins,, the walking liberty half dollars and barber dimes are my favorite,, but I also like the Morgan and Peace Dollars... I like it all though,, I don't discriminate against any of it,, one is as good as any other...

I do think that we are going to see the premiums on the pre 64 stuff go way up because much of it is getting melted down,, has been melted down regardless and it becomes more and more rare plus I don't think the state can tax it under their new plan because its legal US currency.. Right now its the lowest premium because there was a glut and the refiners only wanted .999 or .9999 and not the 90% or Sterling so much but when it comes down to it Silver is Silver... Spoons or Cutlery is really just as good as Bullion or Coins...

Hmmm, it hadn't occurred to me before that I might have some silver laying around. It's in the form of old coins in a drawer somewhere, and I have my mom's old sterling silverware set in a nice wooden box in her old cedar chest.
