Tie up one of these, boys. laugh

You may need to revise your casting technique, however, because the "material" is fragile. wink

Sol,

Although the scent of your tying material and the material that Homer suggests may be similar. I think I would have a much better time harvesting material similar to that mentioned in the link Homer provided.

I used to have a red headed girlfriend. Never thought of using her...................hmmmmmm...........maybe somethings are better left unsaid.

Sol

I use to use those things in a past life, but now it’s much more fun (harvesting) creating something to catch fish then just eggs.

We're living diametrically opposed lives, Homer. I used to flyfish in my past life and gave it up because I realized I just liked to catch fish. It's no longer important to me *how* they are caught. wink

Well I guess Sol_Duc does not like the pain suffering and additional challenges like us fly fellows do. I used bait for steelhead for a couple of months starting in 1980, then went to spinners for 9 months and since 81 , all flys, and I love the pain and suffering.

I did it my way. LOL

Cheers

Sol,

If you just like to catch fish, may I recommend sport gillnetting? It's lots of fun, has its own set of challenges, and you sure can catch some fish! . . . and then there's Dupont spinners, rotenone . . . lots of ways to "just catch fish."

Sincerely and t.i.c.,

Salmo g.

I sport gillnetted for about 14 years. Finally made some money in '87 and gave it up. Kinda miss it in a way. Sorta like I miss that redheaded girlfriend but not quite enough to go back.
