Chuckin carcasses up on the NF? Cause if it was, you missed the river! Somebody thought it would be cool and dumped, I would guess, 15-20 Chums on a road leading to the river. Some peoples kids.

Was reading about this on another forum. Apparently there is a poaching job running at night on the river for eggs. The WDFW are having a hard time trying to find them as they have been netting at night. Seems they dumped some fish in the road one night.

Friday morning I counted 34 chums and 1 silver on C-post road between the highway and where the road splits on the other side of the bridge. I'd guess that about 75% had been slit open. I heard they had been there for two days. I also heard that the people who live on C-post road knew something shadey was going on and called the authorities, but the poachers were gone by the time they showed up.

There were a few around Fortson too but not sure if it is related or not but it sure seems so.

I spent most of the day on the NF, checking things out and taking pictures (49) I saw a lot more then just at C-Post.

I'm sure I saw you cruisin around the NF today for sure then.

Well I was up on the N/F today also crusing around. And I saw a spawning Fish with an arrow sticking out of it's back. It was in that little Creek that dumps into the kids pond up at Fortson.

But to have a guy in a motor boat with a .50 caliber rifle to shoot it as soon as you sink your harpoon into it, that not very much culture asa they preach its all about.

I know, This has nothing to do with a salmon with an arrow in it, it could have not been an Indian fella but when there are scores of egg carcasses all over roads.............I think Indians.
